Voice companion for older people at home

One button for Nonna.Peace of mind for the whole family.

Nonnina is a voice companion for older people who live at home. It chats, listens and gives gentle reminders every day, and tells the family the moment something is wrong.

  • No smartphone needed
  • German & Italian
  • Data stored in the EU
What Nonnina does

What matters most, behind one button.

No menus, no passwords, no small icons. Your parent taps once and talks. Nonnina takes care of the rest, and keeps you in the loop.

How it works

From one tap to the right help.

  1. Tap one button

A tablet with one big round button. That is the whole interface.

  2. Say what is going on

In German or Italian, in their own words. Lina listens and answers calmly.

  3. Get the right help

Lina helps right away, or tells the family when a person is needed.

Lina can help

A reminder, an answer, some company. Nothing else needed.

A person is needed

The family gets a request with a one-line summary.

Everyday companion

Reminders that sound like family.

  • “Maria, it is six o’clock. Time for your tablets.”
  • Confirms out loud, and tells Anna if a dose is missed.
  • Large captions of everything Lina says.

Health routines

Visits and check-ups, never forgotten.

  • Remembers the nurse’s visit and the doctor’s appointment.
  • Asks how the night was and passes the answer on.
  • Orientation only. Lina never gives a diagnosis or a dose.

Safety

When something is wrong, the family knows in seconds.

If Maria says she fell, has chest pain or cannot breathe, Nonnina stays calm, shows a big “Call 112” button and alerts her relatives by SMS at once.

  • Three independent ways to raise the alarm: Lina herself, a backup that listens for emergency words, and a red Help button that always works.
  • Relatives get an SMS, and the main contact also gets a phone call.
  • Maria can say “I am fine” at any time, and the family gets the all-clear.

Nonnina is not an emergency service and does not replace 112. It never calls 112 by itself.

For families

One clear plan for you.

You live far away, but you are never in the dark. Nonnina turns worry into clear next steps.

  • Alerts in real time, and an “I’m on it” button so everyone knows who is handling it.
  • A short summary after every conversation: mood, topics, anything that needs a person.
  • Care insurance and paperwork, step by step, so you claim what your parent is entitled to.

FAQ

Questions families ask us.

Does my parent need a smartphone?

No. A tablet with one button is enough. During the pilot we can send a tablet that is already set up.

Which languages does Nonnina speak?

German and Italian today. It speaks slowly, in short sentences, and always uses the formal form.

What happens in an emergency?

The screen switches to emergency mode with a big “Call 112” button, and relatives are alerted by SMS within seconds. Nonnina never calls 112 by itself.

Who can see the data?

Only relatives your parent has invited. Data is stored in the EU, and conversations are never recorded, only summarised in a few lines.

Does Nonnina give medical or legal advice?

No. Nonnina gives orientation and connects you with the right people. It never gives a diagnosis, a medication dose or legal advice.

How much will it cost?

It is free during the pilot in Stuttgart. We will share pricing with the waitlist first.
